1. Hello
We’re DSTLL, Inc. (“DSTLL”, “we”, “our”, “us”). DSTLL is a mobile app that helps you declutter your photo gallery by selecting your best photos, removing duplicates, and organizing them into Smart Albums.
These legal terms are between you (the “user”) and DSTLL, Inc. By using our app or website, you agree to them. You must be at least 4 years old (or older, depending on your country’s law) to use DSTLL.
Your use of DSTLL via the Apple App Store or Google Play Store is also subject to their respective terms of service. Apple and Google are not parties to this agreement but may enforce their terms.

3. How we’ll contact you
We may contact you by in-app notifications, email, or messages. We’ll:
- Contact you in English 🇬🇧 and Emoji 🙂
- Send confirmations, invoices, and subscription details
- Notify you about updates, product changes, or relevant news
If your contact details change, you must update them promptly.
4. Subscriptions & Payments
4.1. Plans
DSTLL offers free and paid subscription plans (monthly or annual), which give access to advanced features like unlimited photo analysis and Smart Album organization.
4.2. Free trial
We may offer a free trial period. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your subscription will renew automatically. Trials are limited to one per user.
4.3. Billing
- In-app purchases are processed via Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
- Payments are handled according to their billing rules.
- All fees are charged upfront unless stated otherwise.
4.4. Renewals & cancellations
- Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the billing period.
- Cancellations and refunds follow Apple/Google policies.
- We may cancel your subscription without refund if you violate these Terms (e.g., misuse of the app).
4.5. Price changes
We may adjust subscription prices. We’ll give you at least 14 days’ notice before any changes take effect.
5. Using DSTLL
- DSTLL analyzes your selected photos to rank them by aesthetics, identify duplicates, and organize Smart Albums.
- You are responsible for the content you upload or select.
- You must not use DSTLL to upload unlawful, abusive, or harmful content.
We do not sell or publicly share your photos. Processing happens primarily on-device, with temporary cloud use if needed (see our Privacy Policy).
6. Your responsibilities
By using DSTLL, you agree to:
- Use DSTLL only for personal, non-commercial purposes (unless we grant written approval for other use)
- Respect intellectual property rights (you must own the photos you process or have the right to use them)
- Not misuse the app (e.g., reverse-engineering, scraping, or interfering with our systems)
7. Our responsibilities
- We aim to keep DSTLL running smoothly, but we can’t guarantee the app will always be available, error-free, or compatible with every device.
- We’re not responsible for data loss, service interruptions, or third-party failures (like App Store payment issues).
- DSTLL is not a backup service—you should always keep copies of your original photos.
8. Intellectual Property
DSTLL (app, brand, design, logos, algorithms) is owned by DSTLL, Inc. You may use DSTLL only as permitted under these Terms.
9. Termination
You can stop using DSTLL at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you:
- Violate these Terms
- Use DSTLL in a way that risks harm to us or others
- Engage in unlawful activity through the app
If terminated, you may lose access to stored or processed data.
10. Legal bits
10.1. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Delaware, USA, unless your local law requires otherwise.
10.2. Disputes
Disputes will be resolved in U.S. courts, unless required otherwise by applicable laws.
10.3. Our right to enforce
If we don’t immediately act on a breach of these Terms, that doesn’t mean we waive our right to enforce them later.
10.4. Changes
We may update these Terms occasionally. We’ll notify you of material changes through email or in-app messages.
